WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN LASER HAIR REMOVAL, IPL HAIR REMOVAL AND SHR HAIR REMOVAL?

In the 1990s, the first devices for permanent hair removal appeared on the market. In the middle of this decade, a so-called “ruby laser” managed to permanently remove hair in a specific treatment area by removing the superficial capillaries. Shortly thereafter, the first IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) devices for permanent hair removal were developed. Both lasers and IPL devices work with light from the red wavelength range, because with this light color we can precisely heat the melanin (the dye of the hair) and therefore the hair itself.Unlike the laser, which uses only a single wavelength, IPL emits a whole range of wavelengths from the red spectrum. This has the advantage that the light energy does not reach only one skin depth, like the laser, but that the heat is released into different skin layers. Because hair follicles are located at different skin depths, the IPL process transfers heat optimally in this way. IPL can thus effectively fight and eliminate the germ cells of the hair.Later, the SHR method was developed. In SHR (Super Hair Removal), a handpiece is moved back and forth over a fixed area for a long time. The pulses have little energy and the temperature is gradually increased to the desired value. The advantage of this is that the skin is not heavily stressed and the treatment is less noticeable than with the single-pulse method. But the disadvantage, of course, is that this method of laser hair removal requires very long treatment times per session.

WHAT IS THE ADVANTAGE OF HYPERPULSE OVER CLASSIC METHODS LIKE LASER, IPL OR SHR?

HYPERPULSE delivers multiple hyperpulses within one second. Thanks to the innovative ONE GLIDE technology, the device glides over the treatment area only once, allowing treatment at record speed. Because of the large number of hyperpulses per second, an extremely high amount of total energy is released per treatment area, while the epidermis (the outer layer of skin) is hardly burdened. The special cooling unit in the device and the innovative Hyperpulse spray, which is used instead of the usual gel, make the treatment virtually painless.

HOW IT WORKS.

At Release Laser Clinic, you always begin with a personalized intake meeting. Here we explain what to expect, how hair removal with the HYPERPULSE works and what the conditions are for a treatment. Of course, any specific wishes you may have will be discussed during this meeting.

You must shave the area to be treated 24 hours in advance. If you need to shave during the treatment, costs will be charged.

It is important not to epilate, wax or wax the area to be treated before or during a treatment course. This can damage the hair follicles, and there is too little pigment in the hair follicle. As a result, the laser treatment cannot be performed effectively.

It is also advisable to avoid extensive sunbathing or using a sunbed one week before the treatment. Your skin simply needs to relax.

For the treatment, the skin should be clean and free of makeup, deodorant, body lotion, oil or perfumes.

During the treatment, our specialists mark the area to be treated and apply a gel to the skin in this area. This gel provides the effective action of the HYPERPULSE. To achieve the desired result, every 6 to 8 weeks 8 treatments are needed.

IS HAIR REMOVAL WITH THE HYPERPULSE REALLY PAINLESS?

HYPERPULSE uses the SHR method in connection with the ONE-GLIDE technology, which is the only clinically proven method to perform permanent hair removal almost painlessly. With the ONE-GLIDE technology, the handpiece is not impulsively stimulated, but only guided over the treatment area in a single sliding motion. In this way, a large number of effective light pulses per second are delivered to the skin. The multiple, annoying and often time-consuming back and forth movement of the handpiece over a limited area (as with Soprano ICE laser) is no longer necessary. The HYPERPULSE also contains the effective cooling system, the so-called ICE technology, whereby the constantly cooling head ensures that the treatment is experienced as pleasant.

IS THE HYPERPULSE ALSO SUITABLE FOR FINE AND LIGHT HAIR?

By using different filters, the HYPERPULSE is suitable for all hair and skin types. Even hairs that were difficult to remove with traditional IPL and SHR machines can now be treated well.

CAN THE HYPERPULSE BE USED IN SUMMER AND FOR DARK SKIN?

Due to the use of different filters, the HYPERPULSE is suitable for both tanned skin and dark skin and can therefore be used throughout the year.

HOW DURABLE AND EFFECTIVE IS THE TREATMENT?

The procedure is virtually painless, with immediate results, and is the world’s most effective hair removal system, proven to permanently remove 85 to 99% of unwanted hair in just a few treatments. The HYPERPULSE emits a light that is absorbed by the color (melanin) in your hair. The light generates heat that travels down the hair shaft to the hair follicle under the skin, permanently eliminating the ability to grow and leaving your skin silky and smooth.Medical grade hair removal technology is fast and incredibly safe and allows you to continue your day without hassle or downtime, looking and feeling good.

HOW MANY TREATMENTS ARE NEEDED FOR LONG LASTING HAIR REMOVAL?

Multiple treatments are required for long-term hair removal and a completely hair-free future. Depending on the treatment area (body part), the type of hair and the intensity of hair growth, an average of 8 treatments are needed at 6-8 week intervals to permanently destroy all hair follicles and stop hair growth. In hormonal phases of change (pregnancy, menopause) sometimes new germ cells are formed. In these cases we recommend a follow-up treatment.

WHAT SHOULD I TAKE INTO ACCOUNT BEFORE AND AFTER THE TREATMENT?

Four to six weeks before the first treatment the hair should not be plucked or washed, but only – if necessary – shaved. We advise you not to sunbathe or visit a solarium or sauna in the week prior to a treatment or the week after. To protect the skin you should not practice intensive sports on a treatment day.

HOW MUCH DOES A TREATMENT COST?

To permanently stop hair growth, several treatments are always necessary. How much exactly depends on the type of hair and the intensity of hair growth. The cost of treatment therefore also depends on the zone (the body part) and the intensity of hair growth there. In a free consultation we discuss your needs and inform you about the costs.
